Land Acquisition
We purchase wooded acreage, farms, recreational land, and other rural properties of five acres or more. We provide straightforward offers, flexible closings, and no real estate commissions.
Responsible Timber Harvesting
Every woodland is different. We select an appropriate harvesting method based on timber maturity, forest health, property characteristics, landowner goals, and future regeneration. Work is completed by experienced, insured crews with careful attention to the land.
Experienced Guidance
We approach every property with the same care and consideration we would give our own. We take time to understand the landowner's goals, explain the available options, and provide practical guidance based on the property's land, timber, condition, and long-term potential. Even if a property is not the right fit today, we welcome the opportunity to stay in touch as circumstances and opportunities change.

Property Evaluation
We review available property information and, when appropriate, walk the land and evaluate the timber, access, terrain, boundaries, and overall condition. There is no cost or obligation to the landowner.
Receive an Offer
If the property fits our acquisition criteria, we provide a written offer. Our valuation considers both the land and its timber resources.
Closing
Once we reach an agreement, we coordinate the title and closing process. We can often close quickly, but we are also happy to work with a seller's preferred timeline.

Chris has spent his career working with land and timber throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania, and surrounding areas. He leads Northern Oak's acquisitions and personally evaluates nearly every property, remaining involved from the initial conversation through closing.
Matt Cook
Matt works directly with landowners, personally evaluating properties for the purchase of land or standing timber. He also oversees harvest planning and field operations, helping ensure the right approach is used for each property.
